Hiring for :A leading provider of process control and yield management solutions, partners with customers around the world to develop state-of-the-art storage, compound semiconductor, photovoltaic, and other related nano electronics industries
The Role :
We have an opening for a Senior Software Engineer in our SFS-ADE (Surfscan) division, which is part of the Wafer Inspection Group (WIG) and consists in an organization globally located in US, India, and Singapore
. Based in Chennai, India, the Software Engineer will be responsible but not limited to the following duties:
* Responsible for software development activities using C++/C#, Managed C++, MFC, ATL, COM, .NET in Windows 32/64 bit environment
* Lead User interface and graphics design and development for current and future generation of products
* Work in a global environment to Interact with multi-site team members (India, Singapore and USA) during software product life cycle for requirement analysis, design, coding, integration and testing
* Exercise judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
* Work with hardware and systems/application groups to understand system requirements and map them to a software design
* Participate in all stages of software development including deployment/trouble shooting at customer sites (for current products)
*Travel for customer support and training on a needed basis
The requirements:
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer science / Electronics / Electrical / Mechanical or equivalent field (Master's preferred)
* 5-8 years of Software Engineering Experience
* Good Communication, Inter personnel and Team co-ordination skills required
* Self-learner, able to work with minimum supervision
* Creative thinker with good problem analysis and solving abilities
Experience:
* Excellent software design/implementation capabilities
* Good understanding of SW principles and constructs
* Technical competency in using Visual C/C++, C# and managed C++, MFC, ATL, COM in Windows 32/64 bit programming environment
* Experience in Multi-threaded and multi-core software application programming
* Proven experience in using UML, OOP and OOD methodologies is highly relevant
* Proven experience in debugging large complex software
* Proven track record in User interface design and implementation
* Semi-conductor domain experience and Linux development experience a plus.
