Nominations Open For 2018 Twin State Baseball Classic Team

Coaches-
It's a busy time of the year for all of you. We need your help in nominations of your seniors for the 2018 Twin State Baseball Classic.
Vermont is the host for this year's Twin State Baseball Classic, a doubleheader, on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at the Maxfield Complex in White River Junction. Tentative time for game one first pitch is 10 a.m. (we cannot play after 3 p.m. that day).
The Vermont coaches are Marcel Girouard of Burlington. Shawn French of Oxbow, Mike Czok of Randolph and Jason Tarleton of Woodstock. Other selection committee members include Jeff Stetson and Mike Brown (Metro-Lake), Scott Blood (CVL), Tim Albertson (Metro), Greg Stokes (Capital), Bob Lockerby (MVL), and others.
Be aware that seniors from ALL schools throughout the state are eligible for the team and that we need help from all coaches evaluating these student-athletes. We have representatives from each league plus the four Twin State coaches that will meet, in-person and/or via conference call on one of the first two Sundays in June (3rd or 10th) to select the team.
A. Please send your senior nominations to Bruce Bosley (bbosle...@gmail.com or bos...@comcast.net), to your league rep, or to one of the four coaches. More important than their batting average, we need their cell phone number.
Note: Make sure your nominated seniors are AVAILABLE to play in the game, and be in WRJ/Hartford the entire day. We have had selections the past three years that could not make it due to other commitments, that's going to happen, but one or two let us know late in the process (one last year the day of the game). A note to American Legion coaches- this is a nice state-wide honor and the honored players will miss just one day.
B. Keep an eye out for seniors on your opponents for help in the evaluations throughout the season
Also please let Bruce Bosley know your all-league teams when they are determined following the regular season, regardless of class (Sr., Jr., So., Fr.), We will post them on our website for greater exposure.
The 2018 VBCA Underclass Showcase (for players in class year 2019 only) will be held again at Castleton on either June 19 (Tues) or 21 (Thurs). More information and a firm date will follow.
