Meet the Candidate(S)

 

We are making history next week, for the first time ever EngageNOLA will host two BACK-TO-BACK nights of events in our Meet the Candidates Series.

 

We are hosting Stacy Head on Monday, April 16 at 5:30pm at Cafe Istanbul, inside the New Orleans Healing Center on St. Claude Avenue (cross street is St. Roch). It is free to attend and there will be a $3.00 Old New Orleans Rum drink special, and some time for mingling and formulating your questions before the candidate does a short talk and then we open up the floor to questions and answers.

 

And then the VERY NEXT NIGHT in the same room, Tuesday, April 17 (but this time at 5:00pm), candidate Cynthia Willard-Lewis will be on hand. We’ll again have the $3.00 ONOR drink special, some mingling time, and then the candidate will speak and take questions.

 

The Council At-Large election is the ONLY one on the ballot on April 21 (Saturday following), and it will decide who takes former Councilmember At-Large Arnie Fielkow’s seat. Choices will be:

Councilmember at Large (Select 1)
	Head, Stacy	#449	Democrat
	Willard-Lewis, Cynthia	#452	Democrat

So best to do a little research and ask them yourselves, so you know who the best candidate is.

 

If you don’t have a car, you can catch the RTA buses 88 (St. Claude), 57 (Franklin), or 55 (Elysian Fields - 4 blocks away) to get to the Healing Center (2372 St. Claude Ave). Or if you ride a bike, there are bike racks in the rear parking lot.
