May 23rd, at 4:00 pm  Reed Renaissance Intiative Report Release   A Student Blueprint for Reed: Our School, Our Vision, Our Choice The Reed Renaissance Intiative, a student group supported by the New Orleans East Charter Academies and the Vietnaemse American Young Leaders Association, will release a report outlining their vision for the future of Sarah T. Reed.  Based on 250 community surveys, this will be the first time in New Orleans history that students from a school slated for restructuring release a comprehensive report. Student leaders will emphasize the need for expanded arts and music programs, health and supportive services, and a real voice in governance. They will also call for a moratorium on the RSD’s decision to phase-out the school and bring the KIPP Douglass program on Reed’s site until an authentic community engagement process has been completed.  Sarah T.
