BigHero 7 is an upcoming American 3D computer-animated superhero comedy family adventure film, produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures. It is the sequel to the 2014 film Big Hero 6. The film is scheduled to be released on November 6, 2022.

As a Project Manager, I got really impressed about the man behind the scenes, who mapped out Joaquin skills, giving him space to learn, adapt to the character necessities and making sure that Joaquin would feel connected to his role to such a point that he made all necessary effort to deliver a piece that catches our feelings and make us reflect how the environment and the circumstances can impact people/group/minorities who use to feel excluded and suffering physical and emotional aggression and how it can be dangerous when they find their voice on the Darkside, using the wrong tools to feel belonged. Of course, they took it to the extreme because they were building a villain, but it makes us think better about our actions and words. The manager behind the scenes selected an actor who had most of the skills and enough determination to understand what was the purpose and what he had to develop to present his BEST performance.
Joaquin put himself on his limit to learn new skills and successfully added all these skills to his experience, he carefully studied the character personality, hardship, and life background, in order to have everything he needed to deliver an amazing and emotional performance. He not only lost pounds, or learned new skills, he also clearly understood his mission, and the result was an amazing work with all step by step of Arthur changing process, letting us know the exact moment that the character decided become The Joker.
The hero's journey is a strategy used to catch the spectator's attention and encourages the viewer to develop the feeling of empathy and connection, and this strategy is always very well implemented in many superheroes, motivational and inspirational movies and speeches.
My point is not only talking about the movie but also how it made me better analyze how each of us can impact positively or negatively the hero's journey of each person, and how we are using our people skills powers.
We can choose every day if we wanna be more mentors than judges or more cooperative than competitive, considering all the others as an extension of ourselves, who has their own fear, limits, and dreams. I put this as a personal target in my life at the moment that I compared two different heroes journeys, one successfully implemented and the hero feels engaged to fight for a bigger cause and the other who is built to create a villain that uses his power to influence others negatively, and becomes uncontrolled and dangerous.
I built all this thinking line to conclude saying that all of us are responsible to choose our own way, and we have the power to become Neo or an amazing mentor who helps people find their voice, as Morpheus did. For those that are responsible for team management, I would like to say: Every single leader must develop all people skills necessary to let them truly opened to understand and respect each individual equally regarding any variable or condition, and by doing this you will you be able not only to link business necessities with people skills but also be a leader who connects people with their purpose, adding multiple benefits for business and community.
Choose be a happiness promoter who stimulates connection, diversity, and creativity, and from that point forward that you realize what are your team expectations, fears, potential, ambitions, and dreams, and transform this information into actions plans you will you become a leader able to develop heroes who will put their heart for a cause, and our world needs leaders, friends, partners and people who help others not only surviving but socializing and being respected for who they are.
Everybody, regardless of their background, culture, experiences or age, is looking for the same BASIC THING: Live a happy and meaningful life with dignity, feeling loved and respected by our family, friends and community, having the chance to develop our full potential and be recognized doing this. These are basic things that everyone needs to deliver outstanding results and develop a meaningful life, and as a leader your role is to become a facilitator, helping people with their endeavors, connecting talents and purpose to results and business.
