Carissimi,

sorry for writing this only now, and sorry for not having responded many of you much much
earlier!! I'll try to answer all of you this week. Actually, already the last days in Perugia were
tough for me, and then we spend 2+ weeks in South-Eastern Sardegna (Marina di Tertenia),
and then in Tarquinia (for the Etruscan necropoli, of course!), essentially without access to
the internet (and even the Vodafon card I've bought in Perugia only worked at 2G, which
was enough for calls in Italy, but not much more). And after that, as I returned to SPb with
600++ unanswered letters, being overwhelmed by the start of the academic year, and other
urgent stuff here, I was quite a bit disoriented by what to address first.
But now I'm back, sort of!
First of all, it was GREAT working with you this year!
Those of you, who think, they could have performed better at the final, should relax, this
year, there was no intermediate exam and one week less, which made life much much harder
for those, who were not prepared to face problems of similar type and complexity.
I've taken this into account, and graded your work accordingly.
I'll be happy to write recommendation letters for you in future! Best of luck! And hope to see
you on other occasions, at the conferences, etc.!
