First off let me say that I was pleased to see the Security Committee
meeting so quickly to discuss this matter. I look forward to hearing their
suggestions for beefing up security, perhaps as early as the Planning
Committee meeting on the 10th.
Secondly, I would like to see several representatives of the Vaux speaking
directly to a Community Outreach Officer in the Portland PD. I UNDERSTAND
that this has been done before. However it is a good idea to revisit this
considering recent events. Best case scenario is we get new useful
information. I can not think of a single worst case scenario from the
meeting. I would be happy to be the board rep for this, along with the board
liaison to the Security Committee, a Security Committee rep and a unit owner
from each bldg.

From the email sent to the Board by the Security Committee...Bob Weinstein:

We have video footage of the recent breakin to the front door of the Savier building.

The bad guys used a crowbar, and the doors opened.

I would like for Vortex to view that footage and tell us what they think about how the bad guys got in...what was the mechanism that they overcame with the crowbar, and why does nothing openly appear to be broken?.  Once we know what was broken, we can fix it.  But we're in the dark until we know what part of our system was overcome.  

If Vortex needs to come here to make their assessment, I would like that to happen.  If  Board permission is necessary, let me know, and I will approach the Board.

Can you or someone in your office see that Vortex sees the video and/or comes here to investigate?
