We got a lot done. We disagreed and challenged each other. We saw GREAT work from the Committees.
GREAT work BoD, Committees and participating residents!
Some thoughts/comments:
  • I'm not quite sure what the next steps are for the Security Committee to get the fines in place. I suggest that they look back atmy  previous emails for the questions I raised before I can support putting these fines into practice. We need to get their outstanding work moved from reviewing every BoD meeting into ACTION.
  • Though I understand the x-committee 'task force' to help us get the e-Prep work and recommendations, which I thought impressive, I am concerned that it gets bogged down. As Ross Perot once said after General Motors bought EDS, 'When EDS sees a snake about to strike, we kill it. When GM sees a snake, they form a committee on how to deal with dangerous snakes.' (and, yeah, killing snakes is bad etc.....)  I will not serve on that task force, not because I disagree with it - I support it - but I won't take on the additional workload.
  • Sounds like Parklex is January at best?
  • Looking forward to Rules Committee redraft of rules. These people spent A LOT of time on this. It is long overdue tor ratification. I hope we don't see people asking for major re-work. I am ready to sign-on with the caveat that we should remove the vaping prohibition INSIDE ONE'S UNIT ONLY from the Smoking section. It should still be forbidden in the common areas.
  • I think we'll see a bump to get Darlene's System Administration work going. It's money worth spending (UNLESS ITS EXORBITANT). This is a gap that needs to be filled.
thanks
Joe
