Good morning, BODers —

I have received a proposal from our local Verizon group to place a small antenna to our roof that will add a way for residents to connect to the internet. It looks interesting to me. Should we invite Verizon to pitch us in our August meeting?

Dear Hal and Members of the Board of Directors,

Thank you for connecting with me on LinkedIn. I am following up to provide more information regarding the digital infrastructure upgrade for the Vaux Condominium.

Verizon is expanding its 5G Home Internet service for multi-family communities, and we would like to propose making your building "5G Home Ready." This non-invasive modernization involves installing a small receiver on the roof that connects to the building's existing coaxial wiring to deliver broadband to residents at no cost to the property or the homeowners association.

Key benefits for your community include:

- Zero Cost: Verizon covers 100% of the costs for equipment, installation, and ongoing maintenance.

- Non-Invasive Installation: By utilizing existing wiring, we avoid disruptive construction and preserve the building's exterior aesthetics.

- High Speeds & Resident Choice: Residents will gain a new internet service option with download speeds up to 1 Gbps.

- Dedicated Network: The network is dedicated strictly to your building and the immediate surrounding area, ensuring performance is not impacted by passing mobile traffic.

- Financial Incentive: We offer a one-time door fee payment between $45 and $65 per unit, plus a 6% revenue share. For example, a 200-unit property would receive a payout between $9,000 and $13,000.

This is a seamless way to future-proof the building and provide a highly demanded amenity without impacting the association's budget.

Once a standard access agreement is signed, our field engineers will conduct a 30-to-60-minute site survey, followed by a 1-to-2 day installation.

I have attached an FAQ and our standard access agreement for your review. Please let me know if you are available for a brief 5-minute call, or if I can present this information at your next board meeting.

Thank you for your time and leadership.

Best regards,

Jorge.

Dear Hal and the Board of Directors,

I am reaching out regarding the Vaux Condominium. Verizon would like to install a small receiver (smaller than an iPad) on the property to enhance high-speed internet service for residents and future-proof the building's infrastructure.

There is no cost to the property for this equipment. We just require approval for building coax access and equipment placement. Please note that this is not a cell tower; it is standard infrastructure improvement similar to past rollouts by Xfinity or CenturyLink.

I have attached an FAQ document and an example access agreement for your review. Once approved, we will coordinate with you or the local property manager to provide specific details and schedule a site walk.

Please let me know if you are available for a brief call to discuss this further, or if there is another contact we should involve to move this forward.

Best regards,

Jorge.

Sounds like a good idea BUT is there time at the Annual Meeting/Board meeting considering items that may be on agenda?   Is the deal good thru our September meeting?

I agree to moving consideration to September.  BTW, not as a deal-killer, but am I to assume this rooftop benefit only extends to Verizon subscribers?
