Cindy, Diana and Darlene,
The cage in the Savier cart room we asked Todd to quote on may have to be changed to either one that goes to the ceiling or has a top built on it.
It may become a cage behind which materials of some value are stored, so there may be the need for a more secure space.
The Board is currently having discussions on buying, and where to store some Emergency Preparations material.  If we choose to store it there, it must be more secure.
Also, I believe the area will be generally more useful if it is completely enclosed.
Sorry to perhaps throw a twist into the plans, but.....
Cindy, please confirm that you have gotten this email.  Diana, Darlene, Board members, please join this conversation.

All,

I believe building a cage ceiling is overkill. Securing items in a locked cage that is 10-12 ft. tall in a room that is also locked seems secure enough. Everything stored within should have at least some value to the Vaux. What and how much is still being developed

E-Prep items likely will need to be stored in several locations. My guess is that very little will be stored in the cage. We'll see what the E-Prep committee thinks.

The greatest concern, for me, is unauthorized access by residents, former residents, friends, vendors, other personnel using unauthorized Open Alta codes or keys. The other access systems are also at risk. It is less costly to take a proactive approach and secure all access methods used by authorized individuals and vendors ... Beginning with auditing and correcting all system access systems. Darlene has begun working on this.

Once the access systems have been audited, deficiencies have been corrected, and an ongoing protocol to maintain accuracy over time has been defined, the risk of theft should be significantly reduced.

Hi, folks — an awful lot of emails to sort through this morning.

Regarding the proposed Zoom call Eprep is organzing. I believe Douglas mentioned this at our last BOD meeting, but be that as it may — if BOD wants to kill it, please tell Douglas.

Hello, BOD on another matter:  Jason is not available on Monday, but can meet on Wednesday @ 4 pm if we want to do it. Please let me know.

All our worries and suggestions can be expressed at that time. Meanwhile, I don’t want to leave any wiggle room for the offending parties.

Finally — we’re collecting violation info, but doesn’t the violating party already have this information from Kin?

I do not suggest that we kill it. We just need to understand what it is, content, etc.

Per the invitation, it sounds like a kickoff meeting for the implementation of the alert system. But are roles, responsibilities, etc. defined enough to proceed at this point? I don't know. And what is the content being delivered to whom? I don't know.

A full accounting and total have not yet been assembled. Additional charges to the owner have not been assembled (in one email Tim M. was waiting for an invoice).

I will consolidate information from a few emails into one and include an approximate, almost final, total.

Hi, everyone — I will set this up as a one-off meeting to be hosted on Zoom by me. Tim and Paul, together we’re a quorum, and I hope, Diana, you can be there too.  — Hal

Thanks, Cyndy.
Todd's quote is an "Action Item" on the agenda of the coming Board meeting.
How quickly do you think we can get a reliable quote from Manny?
We can table the item if you think there is reason to wait for another quote.
So at the meeting:
A) we can vote to accept Todd's bid and go forward
B) get a fast bid from Manny
C) table the action until we get the other bid.
I'd like your thought and direction.
Again, Cyndy, thanks.

Sorry for taking so long to follow up.  Paul, ok for me to reach out to Manny to see if this is something he can do and interested in doing?
