An outcome of the meeting this past Tuesday with Diana, Jerry Jay, Bill Greenland and me:  

An unwritten outcome is our satisfaction with Bill Greenland.  He is right on top of  everything we need to get this modernization done.

It was affirmed that Bill will act as project manager for the project until it is done.  I am glad to have him on board.

Jerry Jay was hugely involved in the discussion, especially dealing with due dates (schedule of values), getting duplications into one contract, and several other areas...including payment schedule.  Let me say again that Jerry was hugely and importantly knowledgeable and helpful in starting to whip the contract into shape in preparation to closing the deal.

Once we get a contract that looks like it should, we will send it to the Board and Jason Grosz for legal oversight.

If we meet the mid May deadline, we retain the numbers in this contract.  I hope we do.

Thanks for a great meeting yesterday. A few of follow up items:

• Can you please share Jerry’s email address so we can start coordinating on the final contract?

Additionally, TKE responded to my inquiry about the additional cost of hall fixtures with integrated position indicators and they said it would add $5,270 to each group of elevators, so total of $10,540. They also said that they have had a factory material price increase since they provided their last proposal and the new price for the project (as previously proposed) is now $962,653. This is an increase of $16,924 over their previous proposal. TKE did not provide a specific price to modernize elevators in both buildings concurrently, however they said that they will INCLUDE the new fixture design and working the buildings concurrently for the $962,653 price if we have an executed contract in place before May 20^th. We should discuss this offer and decide how to move forward.
