occasion for charitable giving

Hello All,

I spoke with Kate McPherson recently.  She asked if she could put a Christmas donation box in the lobby of each building to solicit donation items for a local shelter.  She will attach a letter explaining what the box is for and handle taking any items to the shelter.  

As we have a precedent for this (Girl Scout cookie sales by a non-resident in the lobby), I polled the first two members of the board I could contact (Tim and Paul) who both agreed it was okay.  Therefore, having reached a quorum, I told Kate to go ahead.  

My recollection of conversation surrounding the sale of Girl Scout cookies is that going forward the board would take this up on a case by case basis.  I adhered to that.
