Tim Ackley and I have begun a positive discussion on replacing the lobby plants with silk plants.  The logic is that silk plants have become beautiful, hard to differentiate from real, and, after the initial expense, will save us $2,000 yearly.  It's something that will require Board approval, and will come up at the next meeting.

I can’t wait (having some plastic and silk plants in my condo, along with a gas fireplace — hey — condo living, everything is kind of fake.).  — H

I can no longer tell the difference between the new silk plants and real ones.  Sometimes I have a hard time differentiating even after I've touched them.  And 2 grand is 2 grand...per year...which become 10 grand after 5 years 😎

I'm good with that and will support if we can find beautiful replacements.
