Become a trendsetter by making original memes. Upload your own image or video and customize it easily. Trim unwanted parts, add witty meme text and sound effects in a few clicks. From reaction memes to split screen memes, you can make memes in any layout and size.

Internet memes are so popular these days that you can see them on every social media platform in videos of most content creators. Memes are usually movie clips and other short clips that become viral on the Internet that people relate to and YouTubers use them in their videos to convey a similar context to what the clip tries to convey in the original video.

Both concepts are about connecting with people online. While social media is a platform for communication, memes are a way of expressing a culturally-relevant idea. A meme is an image or video that represents the thoughts and feelings of a specific audience.

Memes are a worldwide social phenomenon, and an increasingly important aspect of viral marketing and social engagement. Memes often relate to existing cultures or subcultures. Often, memes spread rapidly through social media, email, and forum boards.

Because we're in the video conferencing space here at Vowel, we looked at some common pain points of virtual meetings and created a fresh batch of original Zoom memes (you haven't seen these anywhere else). Get ready to dive into everything from 40-minute meeting time cutoffs to "no agenda" anger to "you're on mute" comment overload.

Zoom memes aside, a lot of people don't realize how much better their video meetings could be if they used a different tool. One with built-in transcription (no add-ons!), instant recordings (no downloads!), collaborative meeting notes (no more wondering what's being captured!), and more.

Memes can offer simplified solutions to very complex problems, problems with nuance and long histories. And if you have heard a stereotypical idea about Jews, antisemitic memes will often reinforce that idea. There are about seven antisemitic tropes that we see being packaged and repackaged consistently in social media spaces-- blood libel, global domination, power and conspiracy, replacement theory, disease and filth, deicide charge, wealth and greed, Holocaust denial, and distortion.

The critical analysis of these images that we've just done is not usually what happens when young people see memes. Memes are intended to be consumed very quickly and shared on social media. The danger of these memes in an online space is that they are repackaging old antisemitic ideas and stereotypes about Jews but in a modern format that can be spread in a viral way. When you are receiving these memes from friends, family members, or people you trust, you're not in a space where you are likely to critically analyze them. One of the ways you can equip yourself to combat racism and antisemitism online is by helping to stop the spread of memes like these.

That time came for me this week, as memes were rocketing around social media connected to the brawl in Montgomery, Ala., where a crowd of mostly-Black bystanders ran to help a Black riverboat co-captain who was being assaulted by a group of white people. He had been attempting to move their pontoon boat, since it was blocking the ferry from docking in its regular space.

Yeah, it's sometimes tiring to always be asked to explain your cultural nuances to the world. But that's the gig I signed up for, many years ago, when I decided to write about race and media regularly. And yes, all the social media joking was hiding a fear that today's political climate has left racists emboldened to attack a Black man in broad daylight for doing his job. So explaining the memes only resurfaced those darker feelings in ways I wasn't quite ready to process right away.

Social media is often like a giant dinner party, where people forget they are sometimes listening in on conversations between other people. In this case, being asked to explain the folding chair memes felt like having someone barge into an ongoing conversation to ask for an explanation.

As I traded messages with people and retweeted the best memes, this felt like a moment where folks could be hilariously Black online and we could all share the experience together, laughing and consoling each other in one viral social media moment.

AI memes reached the mainstream late March 2023, when incredibly realistic images of the Pope Francis wearing an insanely gigantic white puffer coat, looking like he just stepped off the runway, started spreading around the internet. That was a fun sentence to write.

These images were really cool, but they were also stills. The Harry Potter memes were, fittingly, the first ones I saw which applied the incredible animations to the faces: they blink, nod their heads, and even lip sync dialog.

Montserrat is more modern and has several variations, such as bold and thin. Myriad Pro is a classic and versatile font perfect for classic memes. Helvetica, on the other hand, is a timeless choice for memes. These fonts have unique styles and work great for creating memorable and amusing memes.

This is one of the most popular fonts used for memes and is commonly used to add a bit of humor to a meme. The font has an informal, playful look, making it perfect for creating meme-style images. It was designed in 1982 by Monotype Typography and has become one of the most widely used sans serif fonts since then.

Little Miss memes are instantly recognizable with their signature yellow speech bubble and pink font. The popular fonts used for Little Miss memes include Helvetica, Trebuchet MS, Optima, Futura, and Trebuchet MS.

Alternatively, if you have a specific font in mind, you can use a search engine like Google Fonts to locate it. Some websites also specialize in offering free fonts for your creations, such as Free Fonts or 1001 Fonts. These sites provide a wide variety of fonts that are perfect for memes.

After a few key games this season, the Tennessee football social media department has pieced together some clever videos. The videos involve some of the best memes circulating the internet to tell the story of whatever game they were involved in.

To kick off the event, the professor created an auto-tuned song about Internet memes, which concluded with him playing the the electronic clarinet. The video, of course, has all the ingredients to become its own Internet meme.
