Twitch panels are text, images, or extensions that allow live streamers to customize the About section on their Twitch channel page. The most popular type used are image panels. These allow you to link an image to other areas on the web, such as your social media or donate pages. Twitch Panel dimensions are 320px wide and can be up to 600px tall.

Extension panels are where things get interesting! Extensions are essentially a small web application that can run within your panels. From showcasing your Twitter timeline, to adding a suggestion box that your viewers can use to send you feedback, extensions offer a dynamic way to engage your community.

I recently started creating free Twitch Panel themes and thought this may be an appropriate place to share. I have 50+ panel themes, each with over 200+ panels to fit any use a streamer may need (About Me, Tips, Chat Rules, Social Links, YouTube, etc).

I think it would be useful to be able to toggle panels on/off instead of having to remove them and re-add them each time.
For example, I'd like to have a panel with information specific to a game I'm playing, but if I'm playing a different game I'd like to turn it off temporarily and not have to worry about setting it up all over when I go back to the other game.

The feature could be a simple toggle that allows you to hide a specific panel module, allowing you to use certain panels only when needed (IE if a video has certain music licences, or a creator can set an affiliate link or store link to the relevant game's store. This would be like a person may play apex legends on the playstation, but in between they might play Final fantasy, or The Last Of Us Remastered, whilst they play Apex, they have the panel in view, but when they play the other games they can hide the apex panel and it auto lists at the bottom, when they return to Apex they scroll to the bottom, toggle it back on and then it returns to it's original position.) This would be handy for channels that do variety content, or channels that play multiple games.

I was going to suggest a similar feature to this just now, then found this. Noticing this was posted back in 2015 and it's still not implemented yet, think it's a good time for Twitch to look into it imo. This would be helpful to hide panels which may not be relevant for a while but will be again soon (Ex. For Charity Streams to show info on where to donate, where the info won't be relevant all the time but you don't want to have to remove the panel completely).

There are many different types of twitch panels sold by sellers on Etsy. Some of the popular twitch panels available on Etsy include: twitch panels cute, twitch panels free, twitch panels horror, twitch panels custom, twitch overlay, and even twitch emotes. Check them out here.

The Extension Supervisor is located at supervisor.ext-twitch.tv. When an Extension loads in Twitch, Twitch embeds the Extension Supervisor and sends a message to the supervisor indicating what extension to load.

script-src is a Content Security Policy directive that restricts where scripts such as JavaScript can load from. In the case of Extensions, this is set to 'self', -twitch.tv, -files.twitch.tv, and -analytics.com. This means that an Extension can only load scripts from itself, -files.twitch.tv (where the Extension Helper is located), and Google Analytics.

in the sprawling landscape of Twitch, think of panels as your very own plot of virtual real estate. They reside below the video player on your Twitch channel page, serving as a canvas for you to paint the narrative of your streaming persona.

A: You can create Twitch panels for free using online design tools like Canva, Adobe Spark, or Snappa which offer pre-designed templates that you can customize. Alternatively, free image editing software like GIMP or Paint.NET can be used for a more hands-on design process.

A: The best resolution for Twitch panels is a width of 320 pixels, with a height that can range between 100 to 200 pixels for a balanced appearance. High-resolution images ensure your panels look crisp and professional.

However, this also means we have some flexibility with height! We could, for example, work with a longer Twitch panel image size or something short. It all depends on what information you'd like your stream panels to feature and how you'd like to share it. For example, Twitch info panels might benefit from smaller imagery and more text. A donation panel might benefit from a larger image.

Twitch has both a light and a dark theme. This means that any imagery we use here needs to work both on a light and a dark background. Our Twitch panels can also have transparency, so, again, it's important that visibility is strong both on dark and light backgrounds.

Graphic content is optional but can add a lot to how you present your channel. When thinking about what to add to your panels for Twitch, answer the following questions. Will you use a logo of some kind? An avatar or character? What do you visually associate with your channel and your work?

Learning how to make Twitch panels might seem daunting. There are so many graphic elements to consider when you want to set up a Twitch stream. Explore Envato Elements' Twitch panel and overlay library to get the best stream panels and graphics made by top design professionals. The panel size for Twitch, as well as for other elements, is already good to go.
