So, I heard from some people from another buy and sell forum saying that they refuse to use furmark to test their GPUs for sale and that if the buyer use them to test, they will loose warranty. They said other benchmarker like heaven benchmark should be enough.
thank you guys for the feedback !! there is a mixed feeling about furmark , however some of the comments pointed out if the card is in perfect condition should run furmark for 30 min without a problem , at this point i was really curious of testing it myself , so i did the test and the card is rock solid , max temps was 68 degrees and the fan was blowing at 70%, i hope the lifespan of the gpu wasnt shortened because of this , but whatever , im 100% confident im selling a good gpu , also i did the test on my current gtx 1080ti FE and no problems neither but the fan was loud AF and max temp was 79 degrees , on aside note these FTW cards have a superb fan solution , now im not really sure if i want to sell it , maybe keep it as a back up card ? xD
Edit 2: i did this test on my own time , i told the buyer i wont do a furmark test yesterday before posting this on reddit , im not going to sit here 30min with him in my house doing it , but im glad i did the test myself , that way he cant bullshit me after the purchase
So I was screwing around after a deshroud just seeing how far I could get amd software to push my 6800xt...at around 2650mhz I got a black screen during a furmark but not a full crash...then a few seconds after that I got the little popup window showing my score post test lol has this happened to anyone else? Or am I a rare case?

I'm trying to push my 1070ti to its maximum performance. I got it to its max point where it is stable running superposition. However, when I try the same OC in furmark, it crashes. Does this mean my OC is unstable and I should dial it back to the point it is also stable in furmark?
Hey guys, so I mistakenly was under the impression that the furmark stress tests auto quits after 30 minutes. Little did I know, it does not. I went out and ended up leaving it on for about 2 hours. The highest temperature was like 77 degrees Celsius, but do you guys think leaving it on for that long did any sort of damage? I still have warranty so I want to know.
Im trying to overclock my old gtx 980 without adding core voltage, it seems like after boosting +120 mhz core clock furmark test starts to crash after 1 minute but other benchmarks are running fine above that value without any artifacts.
I have recently bought reference 6950XT and after testing it in furmark, the card begins to throttle just after 2-3 mins of running. After 40 mins of running FPS in furmark dropped from 632 to 466, I had PC case open while testing and ambient temperature in room was around 22C. The card hits hotspot 110C just after 2-3 mins of benchmark. So I was wondering if its normal for those cards or just mine is defective ?
