Is there be Record and Playback mechanism with the tool?

Record and Playback are the features of a tool. Say, a web automation
tool knows it has to deal with browser only and a windows automation
tool knows of the environment. Framework is based on a detached
architecture which is independent of what you are going to automate.
So need for a recorder makes no sense for a framework.
