This is very frustrating. I used to have an AWS account in the past but because I wasn't using it I deactivated it. I am now in a position to start using and learning AWS but I cannot get in. I have an overall amazon account and when I log into it, I can see the button to "Sign Into Console" but when I click on it I get the following error.
Amazon Web Services Sign In
Authentication failed because your account has been suspended. Please contact AWS customer support. Contact Us
I have contacted them and submitted a support ticket. But it has been three days and the case still has not been assigned to anyone.
It appears that the old account is still partially in existence but something is preventing it from moving forward. Can I create a separate account and merge it to my normal amazon account once i get in? I definitely do not want to have two amazon accounts in the long term.
Is this the typical support experience with AWS for simple account creation, waiting over three days for resolution?
If someone can point me to anything or anyone that can help it would be appreciated.
