50th Group Flight

Dear all,

 

For our 50^th group flight, how about we leave WF2009 (VIDP-UAFM) for GF51 and do something different?

 

Bhavesh proposed visiting Bhopal in memory of the 1984 Bhopal Tragedy (see http://www.aiche.org/uploadedFiles/CCPS/About/Bhopal20YearsLater.pdf and http://corrosion-doctors.org/Pollution/bhopal.htm).

 

The plan is to fly turboprops (ATR B200 etc.) out of Nagpur, do a touch-and-go at Indore (VAID) then land at Bhopal (VABP).

 

Any other ideas are also welcome.

Hello Tanveer and my fellow pilots and ATCs

Good Idea.This time I won't miss to control you guys(Exams would be got over this week :) )

(And,I have the Nagpur charts which you gave).

And,for all pilots,come on and fly :D,I will be on as VANP_TWR and shift to VABP_TWR in the course of your flight,if possible.

Sounds good, I will make a chicken-scratch enhancement of VABP (maybe Indore too) to add some ground vehicles etc.

Also,Tanveer please note that for VABP and VOID there is no airport layout in the sector file.

Could it be made in a week?

Could you send me the Navigraph charts for these airports?

I will do my best to do the ground sector before the GF. Will see about the charts too.

After wiggling with JeppView for over 4hrs, I got it to print charts to pdf...

Attached is VANP, VAID and VABP Jeppesen charts (from October-November
2009 Data CD) and Bhopal ground diagram (ground diagram done in haste
so not very detailed which may be updated later).

Dear All,

Just a confirmation of todays group flight:

Starts at 1400z on December 19, 2009.

Leg 01: VANP NNP G472 MONPI VAID
(fix by fix: VANP UPTAR DULAR VAID)

Touch and go at VAID ;-)

Leg 02: VAID IID W40 BPL VABP (basically VOR-VOR)

Acft: Any turboprop (King Air 350, ATR,B1900 etc.)
