This still in not working for me! My apps will NOT present with an "x" even after following all the steps! I despise Messenger an I want it off my watch! I have reset my watch 3 times. It is not on my iPad or iPhone but remains on my WATCH. GRRRRRRR!
On my iphone it shows the apps that are installed, but there is no title saying "Installed on Apple Watch" and if you click on an app there is no switch to toggle the switch next to Show App on Apple Watch to the grey OFF position
download and update to current watchOS. More recently, I was able to update again to watchOS 7.3.3 without re-pairing again. YAY! Currently my watch has 2.1 GB available from 4.1GB capacity; as long as the next update isn't larger than 2.1 GB I figure I'm good. If it's large than 2.1GB, guessing I'll have to go the re-pair route again. Hopefully re-pairing works for your watch too. Good luck!
If you're using List View, swipe left across the app you want to remove, then tap the red trash button. If you're using Grid View, tap and hold to activate jiggle mode, then tap the X in the top-left corner of the app you want to remove.
So I did the Screen Time method and it was not pulling up the X even after. So I turned off my watch and turned it back on. It ended up pulling the new setting after rebooting. So maybe try the screen time method, then reboot your watch.
The answer provided does not work. I have an iPhone 13, and a series 5 watch. I wonder if there is a compatibility issue. The screen where you are supposed to be able to turn off the display on the watch does not respond to your swipe. It just stays there. This goes with all my apps on the watch. I even reset the entire watch once, but still the same problem. I think you've got a bug. Please don't tell us that It works.
Thank you very much for trying to help. But I have no "installed on Apple Watch" list. It shows all the apps but when I tap them there is no "show on Apple Watch" toggle - this was what I was trying to find and it does not appear on my phone under the my watch app.
Also thanks for being so cool and helpful - I am a retired tech exec and love to get help that does not make me feel like a superannuated idiot (which I may well frequently be, but I installed the first ever apple dealer network in the 1980s and learned from the ground up, so am very committed and love that fact you are willing to help). Promise not to share so much in future, just truly grateful!!
Open Galaxy Store App on your phone
upper right hand corner tap on 3 dots (note if you have updates you will see a number over the dots)
tap on My Page
tap on All
find the app you want to open and tap on it
tap on the 3 dots in the upper right hand corner
select Share
send it to yourself in email
it will send the app ID
I should have mentioned that App chooser does have a drawback too. That is you have to educate the user how to use it.
For Map My Run you can add a note in your content description saying it is required and pug a deeplink to its page.
Ok, I know this is an OLD post but i will inject some newer info for anyone stuck on APP_ID for watchface studio buttons. VERY SIMPLE , what your looking for is not the appid but its the package name. the best way to find this is go to playstore and download the Package names app . open it and you will see the apps that are installed on your phone. for example samsung notes will have a package name of com.samsung.android.app.notes this is what you will place in the appid section of your button. hope this helps all who are stuck.
Hi, I am new to Watch Face Studio. As in the first message I would like to create a custom button. followed the instructions shown above for calculator inserting in the WFS AP ID com.samsung.android.wear.calculator and it worked. I assumed the same for contacts that is I could substitute calculator and insert contacts, but that did not connect. Can someone please forward instructions on how to obtain AP ID in simple language. I am looking for the AP ID for contacts, gallery and other items. Thank you.
I just realized the WatchOS deployment target is empty after creating the watch target. It is under the project settings, not the target settings.Nevertheless, setting the target did not help me, maybe will help you.

My watch battery seems to be draining a little fast and I wanted to know if there was an app/widget/etc that would tell me battery usage just like my android does. Right now i am not sure what it is so i dont know where to begin making changes.
Thx for the video, but nothing new for me. I had the tactix delta solar with expected battery life of 21 days with the same settings that i use now on the tactix 7. The approximation was pretty spot on, even with 1h gps use per day. So for now the battery life doesn't seem to be an improvement for me, even if it shows 28d when fully charged.
That seems a little bit high compared to what I'm getting. I average about 3% per day which includes 4-5 days of strength training for about an hour each session per week, and 3-4 hours of GPS activities per week. I also have sleep mode setup where it disables phone connection at night which saves quite a bit of battery. Pulse ox off and only on demand.
You can also update Wear OS models directly from the watch. It will still need to be paired to a compatible Android phone. Just open Settings, and then swipe to and tap Software update.
Because it uses the Wear OS from Google, updating apps on the watch is slightly different. You will need to do it from the Play Store. Remember, the models can't be set up without a phone, but you can still edit some of its settings when the watch is disconnected from the Galaxy Wearable app.
On earlier models of the watch, such as the Galaxy Watch3 or Galaxy Watch Active, you will need to set up the watch without a phone in order to update the apps using this method. If the watch is connected to a phone, these instructions will not work.
For example, if a software update fails and results in a boot loop of your watch, you may need to uninstall apps or try factory resetting your watch. This method also works when an app fails to update, freezes, or crashes.
I just got my first Apple Watch and am extremely surprised that there is no watch app for Asana. For corporate users who are on the go a lot, this would be very useful. Also interesting that your users have been begging for this feature for years while some of your competitors already have Apple Watch apps.
Desperately want an Asana Apple Watch app. Just want to see tasks from my calendar view and mark them as done! Looking elsewhere now for other apps that have this capability. Anyone have any suggestions?

Last week, the Spotify app on my Apple Watch Ultra developed a fault after I tried downloading podcasts to the watch. The watch app appears frozen, but in reality it has a 20-30 second lag when starting to be used. If I keep the watch screen active for that time, the app then works fine.

Spotify has been working beautifully on my Apple Watch 8 until it wouldn't start yesterday. When I click the app, nothing happens. Everything else on the watch works fine. This is what I've done to resolve it:
