Job Description
The Engineer will be part of the team delivering quality SumTotal products. Responsibilities include Quality assurance of software, and actively participate in all phases of SDLC.
Essential Job Functions
* Able to understand the business requirements and identify the customer usage patterns to derive the use cases.
* Understanding the design and technical specification of features along with development teams.
* Develop and execute Test plans, Use cases and Test cases. Judge and report quality of deliverables
* Use test automation frameworks to automate test cases and use cases.
* Able to learn and perform white box testing, Security Testing, etc.
* Able to identify and perform impact testing for code changes in the product
* Able to assess the quality risks during development phase for the ownership areas
* Able to understand and assess customer reported issues to fix the week areas in the ownership areas
Skills/Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
* Good at understanding functional, design and test specifications
* Able to adopt new technologies and development methods
* A prior experience in programming is desirable
* Continuous display of initiation, innovation, results oriented, customer focus and team work
* Preferred Tools and Technologies: ASP, C#, .NET, Oracle, SQL server, XML, Bug tracking tools
* Strong logical, analytical and problem solving skills.
* A desire to be on a highly productive, fast-paced team. Should be able to handle adverse situations and take charge.
Education, Training and Minimum Qualifications
* 0 to 3 years of experience in QA
* BE/BTech/ME/MTech in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical discipline, or MCA, from a reputed university.
