helloooooooo ASA friends!

first of all, thank you so much to everyone who came to the Ien Chi event on Thursday (apologize for the double emails whoopsiesss)! it was super cool, super inspirational, and super motivating!! good way to end the week :) we have a recording of the event, so if that's something you would like please email me or any other ASA EB member!!

😆A reminder of what's happening with ASA this week:

1. 📣GB #15 is happening tomorrow from 7-8EST over zoom! join us as we get a little reflective and write letters to our future selves

ID -  914 1347 0474, Password : hotramen

2. 🎦 our NEXT NEXT GB (so not this one, but the one after) is going to be a POWERPOINT PARTY! If you don't know what that is, you can find out more here. And if you're thinking/interested in presenting, please fill out this form (don't worry, it's not super binding, but we want to get an idea of who might want to present!). Each presentation will be getting 5 minutes, so you can budget that into your planning!

3. 🎶someone gave us the excellent recommendation to play music during the first several minutes of our GB meetings while we're waiting for everyone to come in. and not just any music, but music from different asian artists, cultures and backgrounds! we'd love to get any song recommendations you might have, and if you do then fill out this form!

😯And some other fun things ~
  • 📖Portrait— GB meeting every Thursday at 9PM EST
Portrait, Vassar’s semesterly Asian and Asian American student publication, is resuming for the spring. Their GB meeting will take place every Thursday at 9PM EST (first meeting was last week but that's okay!). Please email vassarpor...@vassar.edu if you'd like to attend or want more information! 📖
  • 🌏VASAM and EPI Virtual Conference - Save the date! Friday, April 23rd - Sunday April 25th
VASAM & EPI are excited to present the upcoming virtual conference, Genealogies of Critical Ethnic Studies: Activism and Institutions. Join them in April to discuss what it means to engage CES and explore its future possibilities at Vassar - through panels, roundtables, creative sessions, and action-oriented workshops. You can read more and confirm your interest at the link in the attached flyer!
okay, that's all from me! sorry if the email got a little long, lots and lots of stuff going on! i hope everyone has the best week (even given the weather), and see you at tomorrow's GB! enjoy a pic of me thinking about all the powerpoints i'll be seeing
