Revised code

I rewrote the two functions to make them faster and double checked
them but there was no change. Then I decreased the step size greatly
by almost 1000 and then I increased the number of points by a lot and
then I increased the number of iterations by a bit.

After doing all that, it totally worked.

Phew.

I was just trusting those three magic numbers too much :)
