The RSC-2700 is an 8-source by 24-destination assignment panel that offers remote switching of partyline assignments for medium to large-size systems. Just had my osburn matrix 2700 installed by a mason. The installation was not without issues, the chimney liner (from osburn) is attached at the backside of the unit, which is only held by 3 sheet metal screws at the front side so when the unit was slid back into the firebox the entire aft part of the liner flange lifted free of the unit leaving roughly a 3/4" gap which would have allowed smoke and possibly sparks from the fire to escape into the free space outside the insert, not good. I found this after the mason installed the unit so then an "adapter" had to be installed which was not without its own issues. Next, the manual states the blower motor switch is a three position switch, (1) auto (2) off (3) on. My unit has a two position switch, on and off and the blower will run continuously with the switch in the "on" position. Seems to me there is no thermostatic switch, which the instructions state there is, which would turn the blower on when a specified temp in the firebox is reached. Of course there is no wiring diagram to check the wiring so troubleshooting is limited. I can't give a complete or accurate review but so far I'm not impressed, but frustrated by the lack of useful information.

The Matrix 2700 is great. I purchased two of them for two fireplaces in my house. So far only the first has been installed, and it looks and works beautifully. I'm looking forward to having the second unit installed sometime in January when it's shipped from the factory.

This is a nice looking stove but has some issues. This is our second season using the stove and overall it is working good. My chief complaint is the fan. It is REALLY loud. Also, no matter how good your wood is that you burn, the glass get extremely dirty very quickly. Those issues aside, the stove puts out pretty good heat and has a decent burn time.

The Matrix 2700 is a very well built unit. Face play of the 2700 is cast iron that has that real feel of crafted materials. Newer technology of the fire bricks inside is very nice. Blower pushes a lot of air.

the wood insert is very attractive and very large as I am trying to heat a room that is about 1800 sq ft. I have an older home that was built in the late 50s but has modern windows and insulation .the unit doesnt draw as much air as my previous smaller unit and takes more effort to build a hot fire Im going to order an outside air intake assembly and see if it draws any more air.I am using a 6 inch chimney liner that is at least 12 feet tall from the top of the firebox to the top of the cap.I wish the door would have been able to be made with both right and left hand swing options as I would have ordered it with the hinges on the right instead of the left.It heats well but the glass gets dirty easily, I am hoping the outside air will fix that.

Recent purchase of a new Matrix 2700. I couldn't be more please with the finish, quality and performance of this stove. To date, we have done a few break in burns and the heat output is remarkable. Can't wait for Winter to arrive!

We love the Matrix 2700 fireplace insert. It is amazing. To be able to leave the door open (with a screen) allows us to enjoy the fire with the sights and sounds. All other fireplace inserts were only designed to have a fire with the door closed. You lose the entire experience of the fire by watching it through glass. Osburn gives us the choice to open or close the door. We replaced a gas insert with the wood burning insert and it was the best decision we have made. The insert is built like an engine and is very high quality. I would highly recommend Osburn.

L'encastrable Matrix 2700 va merveille dans l'tre de foyer de notre maison et il donne un cachet qui s'harmonise vraiment bien avec le tout. L't, nous profitons de la terrasse et du ruisseau de la cours ce qui est trs relaxant. Avec cet encastrable, nous savons que la saison froide venir sera tout aussi relaxante et agrable!

This is just as advertised. We followed the burn in instructions and can get an all night burn. My husband can sleep all night and we all stay warm! Our old insert, my husband would have to get up every couple hours to put a log on. It's awesome!
