use the journal function. quick and easy.  also we "print" a copy of the plan and put it in dynamic documents for the therapists to check mu etc daily so they are already very close to the journal tab.

Being new to TrueBeam, I
'
m trying to get the therapists to record the

SSDs using ARIA in some way that I can see them electronically.

Currently, they keep a paper log by the machine.

Any suggestions?

Personally, I don't like the use of Journal as a catch all and we avoid using it as such. We created a Dynamic Document for this purpose. It is initiated (created) by the Physicist performing the second check and he fills in the SSD's from the plan. Next, the Sim Therapist fills in the SSD data from the post CT simulation. Finally, the Therapist completes the form on the first day of treatment. If the SSD's are all within spec then the Therapist Approves the form. If not a Physicist is assigned as Supervisor so that he can go back and review. The form is located in the Encounters that the Therapists use for either Sim or First Day Treatment so they do not have to create the document; they just edit/amend the document.

Our RTTs use a Dynamic Document that is similar to the paper version.  In it they type in the SSDs on the first day, then once a week after that, or more frequently if it is deemed necessary.  As for the Journal, we mainly use it to document phone calls and other communication.
