I had asked our Varian support about the Patient Check In option. Below is
the reply:

The Patient Check-In functionality at the front desk comes standard with
Version 11. The only items you would need to purchase for this are a bar
code scanner and printer for the labels. You can purchase these items on
your own or through Varian.

At the machines we have a feature called PAVs, Patient Acessory
Verification. Below is a description. Please let me know if you would
like a quote for this at each of your machines. The price per linac is
$5,160.

DESCRIPTION:

Varian's Patient and Accessory Verification System (PAVS) provides users
with enhanced verification of Patient Identification as well as non-machine
verifiable accessories used for treatment. Therapists at the machine will
achieve greater patient safety by disallowing system to beam-on until the
patient's ID is verified through PAVS. Also, many accessories used for
treatment are not electronically verifiable; however, since they are used
in the normal course of patient treatment, PAVS will provide a mechanism
for verifying their use for treatment
