Hi Folks,

We are mere days away from moving to Aria and wanted to ask how y’all handle machine QA e.g. HDR daily QA? For example, in MOSAIQ, we have a patient named Nucletron HDR that we assign assessments to when we perform daily QA. This works well and I have no problem with it, but wanted to know if there is a different/better way to go about this in Aria?

Thanks in advance.

Jeff, I am still in the learning curve regarding ARIA.  So far my experience has been that MOSAIQ is way more powerful to help the physicist and others mange QA activities.

Having said that, there is a module called "Clinical Assessments" which we do not use.  But I will find out if that is the solution.

Stay tuned...

Thanks, Scott. Clinical Assessments is where I was looking at putting in these QA tasks. Probably a questionnaire. One could also create a Word document, but that seems a bit overkill for a simple QA task. Also, based on what I’ve seen, I’m not sure MOSAIQ is that far ahead of MOSAIQ. I’m really liking the Encounters and Clinical Assessments modules.

We've used questionnaires for qa tasks. For HDR qa we just use a spreadsheet to record it.

Jeff,

I created two encounters to record our machine QA.  One is tied to a generic patient called HDR QA that covers the QA that is performed prior to the patient entering the vault.  The second encounter is patient specific and tied to that particular patient.  I'm willing to share those if you decide to go that route.
