Recruitment Conference Call

September 7, 2008

9:00 – 9:05                 Introductions

9:05 – 9:20                 School Updates

9:20 – 9:30                 Upcoming Events

9:30 – 9:40                 Comments and Concerns

9:45                            GOODNIGHT

I hope that everyone is enjoying life, and hopefully hasn’t died from the school load.  I also know that everyone is super excited about VA Power Shift, which gives us a great chance to not only get people involved in the movement but look at ourselves. This is the chance to look at our own habits and try harder each day to do more to stop our own carbon footprint.

I also wanted to give people a few ideas for organizing on campus. I think that people should show movies, great way to get people to come and learn and then get them with “hey, wanna make a difference,” it worked great at our school last year. Also getting faculty involved not in just decision making but involved in fundraising and recruitment! Also maybe set-up school wide clean-ups, great way for people to see what you’re doing and get student intrigued about what’s all this “green talk” is! Another great thing is to work with your communities, get local people involved or at least local shops. Also, maybe your local farmers market is a great place to set-up a table or at least talk to people about VA Power Shift. Nothing Beats Class Wraps and tabling at school but hopefully there are some ideas you can use!!!!

If there is anything you need please don’t hesitate to contact, I will help as much as I can!!!! Woohoo!!!!!!
