In the era of social media and fake news, credible journalism has become a necessity. Today's journalism is a far cry from what it used to be. In the olden days, news was primarily consumed through newspapers; nowadays it's the mobile phone with its world of applications that delivers our news. Journalism is cheaper and faster than ever before. From print to online to OTT, there has been a change in the pattern of news consumption in today's world. Along with the way news is delivered to the end users, the very nature of journalism has also undergone transformation. Indian Journalism has also undergone phenomenal changes in the past decade or two.
Today, in India, journalism is both about the big media houses backed by corporates and the independent media startups.
