Subject: <Citizens for Public Leadership> Fellowship Opportunity
To: Anushka Siddiqui <siddiqui...@gmail.com>

Hi

My name is Prateek Kanwal and I am currently pursuing master in public policy from the Harvard Kennedy School. I along with 3 other students Ms. Somya Bajaj from Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton University, Mr. Paul Mathew from SIPA at Columbia University and Ms. Gurmeher Kaur from Lady Shri Ram College at Delhi University have started a fellowship to train Indian youth on Public Leadership.

The idea is to provide rigorous academic training by the practitioners and thought leaders in the field of policy and politics and then handhold Fellows as they set-up their own social projects. The genesis of this idea came from the fact that today’s youth is increasingly misinformed on matters of policy and politics and are relying on social media to quench their thirst for knowledge. Also, Public Leadership as a concept hasn’t evolved in India and there are very few avenues available for Indian youth to engage with this field.

We will select a group of 20 Fellows and take them through 24 sessions of 2 hours each on various aspects of public policy & leadership. I wanted to take this opportunity to invite you to apply for the fellowship. The sessions will take place via WebEx platform. The session will have a component of rigorous pre-work which will prepare the fellows for the discussion with the expert. The fellowship is part time as the sessions will only happen post business hours.

Our website address is www.cplindia.org and our twitter handle is @CPLFellows

We have Mr. Salman Anees Soz, Ms. Karuna Nundy on our advisory board and thought leaders such as Dr. Shashi Tharoor, Dr. Pratap Bhanu Mehta, Ms. Yamini Aiyar, Dr. Milan Vaishnav, Mr. Raheel Khursheed, Ms. Nidhi Razdan and Mr. Rajdeep Sardesai are some of guest faculty members for the fellowship

The last date to apply is September 20th. Please let me know if you need any further information.

Regards,
