Ethan,

have noticed that clicking/setting checkboxes takes a long time.
Sometimes over 5 seconds, most of the time 2-3. These are real
checkboxes (unlike the ersatz buttons from my last post ;-) ) and all
in a single table. Any suggestions for speeding things up a bit?

What version of ruby are you on, and what OS?
In my experience it is fast on ruby 1.8 on windows, and slow elsewhere (ruby version 1.9 on any platform, and any version of ruby on macosx and linux). I'm aware, and it is a priority to improve, but I don't have a fix in yet.

Ruby 1.8.6 (26) and Windows XP SP3
IE stuff is quick enough, FF sluggish.

Interesting, I haven't heard of this problem on windows with 1.8.*. Well, improvements that I make will apply to all platforms, and I do hope to have those released soon. the relevant ticket is at lighthouse, at: http://vapir.lighthouseapp.com/projects/43922/tickets/11-fix-ff-performance-on-mac-nix-and-19-on-windows
