Business is Great.
People are Terrific.
Life is Wonderful.
These words, prominently displayed upon a sign hanging in Vanzanzi office, are what fuel her to succeed every day.
Tracy, a licensed broker with Vanzanzi Realty in Durban, has distinguished herself as a prominent and widely respected real estate professional. She works within a large market throughout the greater Durban area. Tracy maintains a strong emphasis on the communities of Glenwood, Umbilo, Manor Gardens, and Musgrave.
“I love the weather, the close proximity to beaches, entertainment venues, the great restaurants, and lifestyle that can only be found in the Durban area”.
Naturally Charged
Tracy begins her mornings with reading and responding to her emails and checking Facebook for any opportunities to connect with her clients, friends and family. Unlike many of us (myself included), Tracy is naturally charged from the get-go and doesn’t rely on caffeine to get her moving.
Tracy believes in always being available and being extraordinarily receptive to her clients. “I wake up early and go to bed late. I am constantly on the Internet and connected to clients and responsive to my client’s needs 24/7”.
“Even though I seem to work all the time, I do take time-off to rejuvenate and refresh,” Tracy readily admits.
But when she is working, you’ll find her on her Blackberry phone. “It has a very long battery life, which is important to me (and most on-the-go REALTORS®, I’m sure),” Tracy continues. “My laptop, which is a Dell, goes everywhere with me, too.”
Tracy incorporates both tried and true technology, such as Outlook and Microsoft Office 365, but also takes advantage of today’s finer tools, such as Property24, for electronic signatures, Facebook for maintaining and building relationships and BBM for storing and sharing her files and photos.
Starting with the four or five listings appointments, Tracy prepares and completes each week, she suffers, like many REALTORS® with little to no downtime; holding weekly staff meetings, showing properties, negotiating offers, hosting open houses, property inspections, being regularly active on Facebook, and sending and receiving hundreds of emails on a daily basis, make taking regular vacations a must.
“I love to travel and take two to three exotic vacations every year. I went to China last month and have two more vacations booked in 2014 and two more in 2015”.
40 Years Strong
Tracy is celebrating her fortieth (yes, 4-0) year in the real estate industry this year. She began her career working as an assistant/office manager in a brokerage and when she discovered just how much money the agents were making, she felt she could also do that successfully. Apparently she was right – Tracy has not only been named the number one agent within her brokerage, but within all brokerages in the area in closed sales and repeatedly in the top 1% in the nation. Last year, Tracy closed over forty transactions and more than 10 in the first quarter of this year.
“I am very proud to help my sellers successfully sell their house at a great price, and helping buyers find their dream home and guiding them through the process,” Tracy explains.
When it comes to what works for her and what doesn’t, Tracy believes in consistently going back to the ‘basics’. “Prospecting is important, whether it’s contacting your sphere of influence, past clients, your farm, cold-calling, door knocking, or sitting at open houses, etc.”
