Halo
The Department of Youth Development Sport and Training (DYDST) wishes to recruit a National Sport for Development Coordinator to lead its exciting national Nabanga Sport for Development Program (Nabanga).
Nabanga has three implementing partners (two NGO’s and one community) that use sport as a tool to achieve development goals including reducing NCD’s, improving social cohesion, improving sexual reproductive health and creating inclusive sporting opportunities for people with disabilities. Our partners currently implement Nabanga at sites in four provinces (and we plan to expand to a fifth province later this year).
Nabanga is funded by a partnership between the Australian Sports Outreach Program (ASOP) and DYDST. ASOP is an Australian Government initiative funded by the Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID) and managed by the Australian Sports Commission.
The National Sport for Development Coordinator is a great role anyone looking for a challenge and is interested in joining the international Sport for Development community.
***DYDST is keen to hear from Government employees interested in taking sabbatical leave to fill this position.
