Good Monday morning!

So if you happened to bump into me since last Wednesday you will
probably have seen me babbling incoherently about something Paul
Hillsdon and I have been working on for the past little while.

We like to call it "Transport Hero Camp."

The Canadian Urban Transit Association puts on a summit about every two
years, inviting youth from all around Canada who are going into careers
in transportation, to learn about transportation issues. This year's
event is going to be at UBC, and CUTA has kindly offered Paul and I the
opportunity to run a TransitCamp-like open session during the summit.

But there's no Transit Camp with all you fine folks ;). So we invite you
to come share your stories of transit valour, experiences, knowhow and
passion with the summit delegates.

There will be about 60 youth (between the ages of 17 and 25) who will be
doing all-transportation-almost-all-the-time for 6 days. They all have
ideas for projects in their hometowns, with all different interests in
transportation (alternative fuels, cycling, public transit).

More on the event is at the TransportHeroCamp wiki section (no grumbling
on platform!):

Or catch us by e-mail at

vancouvert...@gmail.com

Hope to see you there! Tell all your friends, even if they're on
vacation! :D
