Hi All- I just discovered today that Transit Camp is happening, emails
not getting through I guess, and so I am eager to help out!

Is this group open to a TC sponsorship by SPEC or the Livable Region
Coalition?

I can help promote the event through our networks and I am happy to
sing the praises of the Transit Camp concept to the cranky activist
set if you feel that is wanted/needed.

I am also open to specific suggestions on how I might be able to help.

I am aware that my/SPEC's involvement may be a concern for some,
that's OK but I would like to talk through any concerns, if there are
any. I am absolutely fine with toning down the Gateway stuff, for
instance.

Thanks all and bye for now

Dave

Dave,

Sorry to hear about us getting caught in your spam killfile.

I think we'd appreciate sponsorship from SPEC, as we currently have no
restrictions on who can contribute (aside from a general consensus
that TransLink should not be funding the event).

The only thing I would encourage for SPEC promoting the event, is to
explain that we're not leaving the politics at the door, so much as we
are trying not to let politics keep us from connecting with each other
as members of the community. That connection, the finding of common
ground, and the ability to enjoy that, has appeared to me to be the
common theme of what people are expecting to experience at
TransitCamp.

If that sounds good to SPEC, then I, for one, look forward to seeing
you there. ;)

Karen
