Hey there y'alls,

I've been doing lots of thinking and not a lot of talking in the past
couple weeks about Transit Camp since I got back from my research trip
in Toronto. It will all make it to my blog (or my thesis) eventually,
I promise, but until then I wanted to point out something really
interesting.

I fundamentally love the wiki, but I find that the lack of structure
means there's a heavy reliance on search and not enough value in
browsing or clustering people together who may want to indicate their
interest for a certain topic. I found this with the Toronto Transit
Camp wiki. I don't know about you, but even I find the wiki
intimidating to go through. It makes me feel like I'm trying to read
volume B of an encyclopedia.

So I was poking around some of the Bay Area Transit Camp stuff. Lo and
behold, they've created a Transit Camp page on the site Get
Satisfaction (which reminds me a little of 43 Things' ShouldDoThis for
those of you who may know it, but a little more advanced I think),
with a page specifically for Vancouver Tranist Camp as well.

I haven't had time to look at it in-depth, but I want to share the URL
with you guys to take a look. Is this something you guys think would
be valuable? I like the idea of sorting things out from the wiki into
ideas, questions and discussions, and having that application manage
it rather than trying to do things over the wiki, email, on our blogs,
etc.

Here it is:

Thoughts, anybody?
