Please help me to resolve my issue.. I have update my macOS to Big Sur, now my Canon LBP2900B is not working, I tried reinstalling the printer driver file for LBP3000 as it worked with macOS Catalina.. But in vain.

Just updated from OS Mojave to Big Sur. With previous updates I have been able to get the printer working with patches, but now Im not able to get it working with Big Sur 11.3. Is the patch only working for 11.2?

After going through all the answers in this thread, I realized that I had not REPLACED those two patchfiles. But now I have, and at least I do not get any errormessage! Now it is only a window where it says "printing". But its not printing. But Im feeling that I am close

How I have connected my LBP2900B over home network is, I have connected my printer to my Mac and shared it.. so all my other laptops, desktop & mobile can access it over same WiFi network. While sharing I choose the TCP/IP address to connect from my windows PC/Laptops on Mac Big Sur.

At video, He have macos driver for printer. In my case, I add printer, but it "sending to print" over 5 minutes, than I stop it. I think problem in LBP3000 driver. Via USB work normal, but in case network printer on Win10, there are LBP2900 on Win10 and LBP3000 on mac, and they can't work correct

I am using Kde Neon, and I am trying to install a Canon LBP3000 printer that I bought from Japan a number of years ago.
I have downloaded the CAPT drivers from Canon, I have installed the drivers following the instructions in the driver package, and the printer shows up under System settings - Printers.
I have tried printing a test page, and it just did nothing, and shows the status Idle - filter failed.

This is not the first time I tried installing the printer, either.
Moreover, when I turn on the printer, the system detects and installs it as a second printer. However, this second printer does nothing, as well.

With the new iOS Sonoma 14, the scanning drivers for many of the older Canon printers are now obsolete, and these printers will end up in landfills across the planet. It's time to develop another business model that is profitable for Canon but more eco-friendly for the planet. One idea is to allow owners of Canon printers the option to BUY a new driver through the Canon website rather than throw the printer in the trash. The option to buy could be limited by Canon to certain models or certain manufacturing time periods, and it would enable consumers to feel they are contributing to Canon's commitment to the environment. Think PATAGONIA gear! Canon can be like that. We live in an era where the concept of Planned Obsolescence is in itself obsolete.

I just updated my OS to Sonoma and now my TS6220 printer no longer works. I've exhausted all resources on Canon website unfortunately none has helped. Now i just want to know if Sonoma is supported or not?

I have call customer support directly and tried to get them to get me in contact with canon software dev and engineering. It seems to me a corporation like this should have a driver on day one, seeing how Ventura has been in beta for over a year, and the DevKit is just $100.

ALSO PLEASE can we have a radio button under Print for Secure Print, that just loops the secure print menu? If the driver is in development can you please add this feature on the new Version mac/windows?

One last feature request is to add 1-sided printing option to the Mac(apple) driver for default printing. As of now windows has an option to check 2-sided on or off for windows default profile. In mac I have to set up multiple print templates in the system print menu. I understand how this will reduce waste but in the end the user prefers 1-sided.

My vendor/dealer can not solve this issue that is why I am here. This is a Canon USA DRIVER issue, that's made possible by the lazy Software developer Canon has hired. I'm well aware how to use the driver and the printer, and the driver is BROKEN and not COMPATIBLE with the LATEST OPERATING SYSTEM FROM APPLE. I AM LOOKING FOR AN ESTIMATED TIME OF ARRIVAL FOR THE NEW DRIVER. This has hindered clientele to operate their business.

I am having the same issue. After updating my Mac to 13.0.1, my Canon scanner (imagreFormula R40) is no longer usable. When I try to run CaptureOnTouch the operating system shows a dialog with the text "CaptureOnTouch is damaged and can't be opened. You should move it to the trash."

I own an architectural firm, and for whatever reason when using Mac OS 13 the only page size that will print is letter size. (Normally there are many options.) There are also no options for scaling, double-sided, color, etc.--basically it only prints whatever image I have to letter size. It works fine on my other Macs that are not on OS 13, so clearly the driver is the problem and should be updated. Please resolve as soon as possible so that I can actually print the documents I need. thanks
