About the Allegan Conservation District Board of Directors:
The Allegan Conservation District is a local governmental entity formed in 1940 by the people of Allegan County to protect the soil, water, and other natural resources of Allegan County. The Allegan Conservation District is governed by a 5 member Board of Directors elected by Allegan County citizens during our Annual Meeting. The Board of Directors holds regular meetings open to the public the 2nd Monday of every month at the Allegan Conservation District office beginning at 4 PM.
The current Board of Directors is made up of:
- Mark Ludwig, Chair (Owner of Sand Lily Farms)
- Carl Collier, Vice-Chair (Local Farmer)
- Jan Chestnut, Treasurer (Retired USDA-FSA)
- Lon Koops (Retired USDA-NRCS and Retired Army Corps of Engineers)
- Kirstin Heft (Medical Professional)
