Namaste,
Greetings from Vandemataram!
Many of the students attending government school are first generation students from their family. And it is obvious that only those children who cannot afford studies in private schools join government schools. Perhaps, such children may not get any guidance either from the parents or from any other source.
These children are meritorious do not have congenial atmosphere at homes to concentrate on their studies, especially during examination. Again, absence of proper motivators at homes, proper guidance or problem solver at home is yet another noticeable problem. Lack of guidance on preparing for board examination like in corporate schools marks them for behind than the private school students. Thus, resulting in opting to dropout, blocking their opportunities to continuing further studies and better opportunities in life.
The dream of getting into IIT’s and IIITs for rural community remains a dream. And admission into private and corporate colleges is out of reality. This is due to low scoring which is not meeting the eligibility criteria. In order to make their dreams come true, Vandemataram Foundation(VMF) organizing the examination preparation camps for 10th Standard students of government schools….
VMF has been successful in conducting Examination Preparation Camps for the last nine years in two backward districts from since 2006. This kind of residential camp is yielding fruitful results. Till date we have trained 2648 students including 1403 girls. We are happy to see 568 of our students in IIIT, 11 in MBBS and 413 pursuing their polytechnic and over 1100 have got free seats in corporate colleges.. Last year our student Sharath got selected as a scientist in ISRO, he moved us to tears of joy with his interview. Their success is a big motivation for us.
Those who believe in the merits of the program have been supporting this program since last 9 years and becoming part of the success story. The major expenditure is to provide children healthy and hygienic food so they will withstand the rigours study hours, assignments throughout the camp period.
For successful conducting of this Camps, we require 85-90 Quinta’s of Rice for 50 days residential camp for both Mahabubnagar & Warangal districts. Since our organization relies on the generosity of Individuals, we write to ask you to consider a donation of Rice or We would be very grateful for any assistance you can provide. Even a very small contribution would be beneficial. Your generosity will make a difference in our community by allowing us to continue our work.
This year we’ve started 50 Days Residential camp at Nithin Bhavan, Thorroor, Warangal with 450 students and Mahabubnagar District Camp at Aksharavanam will be started with 250 students on 13th February and lasts till 18th March, 2016.
