Volunteering For the Trans Forum
Hey ya’ll,
With less than a week away, we are working hard on finalizing all the little details, one of which includes volunteers! We are openly putting a call out to the community to help us, the organizing collective, throw this wonderful community-centred event.
Here are the positions that are needed to be filled:
- Door People for the Friday night opening dinner/keynote/party (2 people X 2 hour shifts between 6pm till 2am)à8 shifts
- Door People for the Saturday & Sunday of the forum itself (1-2 people X 2 hour shifts between 8am till 6pm)à5 to 10 shifts X 2 days
- Door Person for the All Body Swim (1 person X 2 hour shift between 7pm to 9pm)à1 shifts
- Marshalls for the Trans Pride March (8-10 people X 1 hour shift between 6:30pm & 7pm)à8 to 10 shifts
- Food Servers (2 people X 0.5 or 1 hour shifts between Friday6 & 7pm, Sat&Sun 8-9am, Sat&Sun 5-6pm) à10 shifts
- Food Prep (2 people X 2 hour shifts between Friday 3pm to 5pm, Sat&Sun 5am to 7am, Sat&Sun 2pm to 4pm)à shifts
- Food Clean-up (2people X 1 hour shift between Friday 7pm-8pm, Sat&Sun 9-10am, Sat&Sun 6-7)à shifts
- Nelson Park set up (2 people X 1 hour shift between 6-7pm)à2 shifts
- Childcare (1-2 people X 2 hour shifts between 8am till 8pm)à6 to 12 shifts X 2 days
- Childcare (1-2 people X 2 hour shifts between 6pm till 2am)à4 to 8 shifts

Also, come out this Thursday, July 22nd @ 6pm to Spartacus Books (684 East Hastings, between Heatley & Princess) for a volunteer orientation meeting.
If you volunteer, you can expect lots of love from the organizers, as well as a massive volunteer appreciation party sometime in August or September!
