bios and sessions

Hi Gwen:

Attached are some bios and session information.  i was wondering if this could be put on the website.  Also, Kimothy just added a workshop.  is it possible to add this to the schedule.  her presentation is described in the session info list.

Everyone:

A reminder that we need as many of the bios and session info as possible.  Right now I don't think we have enough to create a print out for this.  And if we do, in the next few hours, I don't think I will have time put this together by friday.  So I am wondering what we should do about this?

hey corey,

I thought gwen left the google group- and we have to email her directly.

Re: bios. Wondering if going with what info you have - making it available on the website- with a bio page- would work?

People usually toss booklets program guides etc right after or during events. We'd save trees etc by not printing one up.

At the forum, we could have a "bio wall/schedule" instead. In large and contrasting font of course. What does everyone think?

I like the idea of the website only, especially as my time schedule for printing them at PRISM did not work out this week :(

For the Saturday "Know Your Rights" workshop, a new description should
be substituted. That existing one is for the workplace rights
workshop that was scrubbed. So here is a revised session description,
torn straight off the top of my head as I write this. Feel free to
tweak if you wish.

New Title and Description:

Know Your (Trans) Rights?!

A free-wheeling overview and participatory discussion of the state of
the law in B.C. and Canada today as it relates to and impacts upon
trans and other gender non-compliant persons in their daily lives and
their equality struggle.

Hope this is okay. If you feel that substituting "gender
non-conforming" for "gender non-compliant" is more appropriate, go for
it. I prefer the latter as a more empowered concept connoting greater
personal agency, but the former is more standard, so I'm just whatever
on that.
