Free after school workshop for anyone preparing food at school. This is relevant to those who harvest from the garden but this will be mainly focused on using produce.  This is a pilot workshop. Come, learn and provide feedback as we explore whether to offer this region wide.

Description:

From garden to classroom table, food safety practice is essential to food preparation. Vegetables and fruit can still be a potential source of food borne illness. Even when working only with produce, you can take steps to reduce the risk of food borne illness in the school setting. Note that this workshop will focus on working with produce. This workshop does not take the place of FOOD SAFE LEVEL 1.
