Farm to School BC will be hosting two webinars in May, one for farmers and the other for schools:
An Intro to Farm to School BC For Farmers

Wednesday May 7th, 2014 - 3:00-4:30pm


Farm to School BC would like to invite all farmers across the province of BC to attend our upcoming webinar entitled, 'An Intro to Farm to School for Farmers', to learn about Farm to School and how to get involved with schools in their communities.

Participants will learn from farmers across BC who are currently engaging with schools.

Putting the Farm in Farm to School – For Schools

Wednesday May 21st, 2014 – 3:30-5:00pm
 

Farm to School BC would like to invite all BC schools to attend a webinar entitled, ‘Putting the Farm in Farm to School’.

Come and learn from an amazing lineup of presenters from schools across the province who have strong, resilient relationships with their local farmers. Gather ideas, get inspired and ask your questions from these experienced Farm to School enthusiasts. This webinar will be of interest to:

  • schools interested in starting a Farm to School program
  • schools who have components of a Farm to School program (schools garden, farm tours, etc.), and are wanting to start sourcing local food for their school
  • schools who are actively searching for farmers to partner with for their Farm to School program
  • schools who have existing relationships with farmers and are looking for ways to make that relationship more sustainable

I have registered for the event, but realized that the times given are in Eastern Standard Time, so the webinar for schools is 12:30-2pm PST on May 21st.

I think there was a mistake in the eventbrite because I'm on the phone line but nobody else is....I'm guessing they really did mean 3:30-5:00PST...
