Murder The Hit

"The Hit" decided he would give Jimmy The Junkie and his Crew some of
their own medicine, again. He would play Jimmy The Junkie style like
Jimmy The Junkie and the Mysterious Financier did at the wedding in
Winlaw. "The Hit" would just tell the truth about Jimmy The Junkie
and his Crew. Jimmy The Junkie was out of control! The idea started
to develop. Could Jimmy The Junkie and the Mysterious Financier be
laughing at him like at the New Westminster Medical Clinic. How did
the young man on Blackie Street know he was going up the hill for
tests? "The Hit" decided he was going to stop Jimmy The Junkie, his
Crew, and the Mysterious Financier. One thing for certain was the
Mysterious Financier had to be paying them. They simply did not have
the resources to sustain such an attack. "The Hit" wondered if the
Mysterious Financier why the Mysterious FInancier was in on this whole
mess. He still questioned the origin of the Mysterious Financier?
Why would the Mysterious Financier be interested in "The Hit"? Could
Jimmy The Junkie and the Mysterious Financier both be laughing today
for giving him Hepatitis C intentionally? Maybe, Jimmy The Junkie
setup the Mysterious FInancier? After all, he did setup his own crew
by stealing from them. "The Hit" assumed the letter he sent to the
Piccadilly Pub had arrived. They would have their choice to protect
their patrons from Jimmy The Junkie and Little Mike. He did not know
what they would do, however he knew the letter would have filtered
down too Jimmy The Junkie and Little Mike by now. It was time to
figure out how well Jimmy The Junkie and his Crew were hooked at the
hip with the Mysterious Financier. The question was how?

In Bowden, it took close to an hour to get the sleeping bag out of the
fender and chain. "The Hit" knew how lucky he was to miss being rear
ended by the semi and trailer. He found a place to setup his tent,
and he went to a restaurant to have a meal. He ordered beer with his
meal, and he tried to get some sleep in his tent in a little bluff
just off the # 2 Highway. The next morning he rode through Innisfail,
Red Deer, Rosedale Valley, and Leduc. He rode into Edmonton on the
Calgary Trail NW early in the afternoon, and he bought a map and a
newspaper to find himself a room at a YMCA from a phone booth. He
rode the Scona Road NW to Conners Road NW before crossing the North
Saskatchewan River. He rode down Rossdale Road NW until he turned
right on Bellamy Hill NW where he found a parking lot on the corner of
102 ND Ave Northwest and 101 ST NW. He parked his bike, and he rented
a room at the Don Wheaton Family YMCA Centre at 10211 102 Avenue in
downtown Edmonton. He was alone, but he was alive.

Guns and Murder

At the end of February 1998, there was two things that "The Hit" could
hardly believe possible. The first unbelievable event was that the
Gang from Clavet setup their own friends to get at him. "The Hit"
knew the Gang from Clavet understood what happened in the home
invasion. They knew because Jimmy The Junkie would have been
switching vehicles since the wedding in Winlaw. They knew because
they could accuse "The Hit". They would have seen the emergency
broadcast. They knew. The second unbelievable event was that he was
now being blamed for the largest drug bust ever in Vancouver! He knew
the 4 junkies (pawns) were trapped by the Gang from Clavet. He also
knew that between the Gang from Clavet, Jimmy The Junkie, and his
Crew, they outnumbered him in spreading the word around. The Gang
from Clavet had 4 pawns trapped, and the Gang from Clavet chose not to
save their friends the night of the home invasion. They could have
easily warned their friends, but they sent them to prison instead.
They trapped their pawns in a lie, and now they were trying to blame
"The Hit" to get their revenge. "The Hit" could see that they were
trying to get the Hell's Angels to kill "The Hit" to cover up what
they in fact did intentionally. What should he do?

In early March 1998, "The Hit" could feel the hate on the street, and
the Safeway on Hastings Street was no different when he went to buy
groceries. Little Mike and Mike followed him into the Canada Safeway
at 4440 Hastings Street for the Clan from Clavet. Bob had driven "The
Hit" to stock up on groceries, and the Clan from Clavet kept the
pressure on him. Mike walked up beside him and he said "you're not
dead yet." Little Mike walked past him with a big smile in the
aisles. They were both trapped by the Clan from Clavet, and what
could "The Hit" do? The Clan from Clavet and the 4 junkies could not
kill him directly after the home invasion. They gave up the drugs in
the home invasion in their deal with the Vancouver Police Department.
They could not do much themselves at this point. They were already
informants for the police. They could only try to get the Hell's
Angels and the Cartel to kill him by setting their trap. The Clan
from Clavet and the 4 junkies would do anything to dodge the blame and
promote him as the hit. "The Hit" was no longer afraid of the 4
junkies and the Clan from Clavet. He was afraid of what the Hell's
Angels and the Cartel would believe!

On October 30 TH 1997, Garth deposited his mothers seed money into the
Winsoft HSBC Bank on 2590 Hastings Street East, and "The Hit" checked
out the flight options available to fly to Philadelphia on November 6
TH. He planned to arrive on the 6 TH of November, and he would stay
overnight at a hotel before the meeting on Saturday. Garth agreed to
buy the ticket on October 31 ST leaving Friday November 6 TH in the
morning with a stop over in Phoenix, where "The Hit" would transfer to
another flight to Philadelphia. Garth had a friend in the travel
industry, and he would take care of the ticket using his travel
agent. "The Hit" should be able to phone Bill back on the 31 ST with
his confirmed itinerary. Meanwhile, he worked on his other industry
contacts because he did not want to put all his eggs in one basket.

The Roadhouse 66 Bar became the place of chance coincidence that day.
United Airlines forgot to announce the planes departure. They two
blond friends of the Mysterious Financier had been rubbing in their
success during the stay in the bar. The Mysterious Financier's crew
never were shy of explaining to "The Hit" what their plans were from
silent words a few chairs down along the bar. "The Hit" was not sure
of their identities, however he believed the young man was from
Blackie Street in New Westminster the day he was informed he had
Hepatitis C at the New Westminster Medical Clinic. The woman he was
not sure of either at the time, however he believed she was sitting in
the waiting room at the New Westminster Medical Clinic. Meanwhile,
the three of them were left in Phoenix at the Sky Harbor International
Airport. United Airlines forgot to announce the loading of the flight
on the speakers in their rush to make their connecting flights.

"The Hit" ordered a pint in the bar, and as always he kept to
himself. He chose a seat where he could keep both the entry traffic
and bar patrons in front of him. He considered the mild letter of
intent he had signed as a positive start, and the industry input he
had absorbed on the trip was valuable. Some of the existing claim
processing companies could represent insurance companies while
connected to the Onlineglass-com database for spot checking claims
outside of normal parameters, and the wholesale auto glass industry
fit into the shared database as he had originally planned. He paid
cash for a second pint, and he was pleased that the blond man and
woman from Sky Harbor International airport did not reappear during
his trip. The trip had gone quietly other than the a dark haired man
staring at him during the Cheese Steak in downtown Philadelphia. He
felt that he should have recognized him, and he definitely kept
looking in their direction as they ate. "The Hit" finished his beer,
and as he left he once again had a feeling that he was being watched.
He walked back to the Westin thinking he was just being paranoid, and
he went to sleep.
