First post to test if this group works.

Some self introduction: My name is Shane Li, I moved to Vancouver from Seattle just before the new year, for an internal transfer in a major eCommerce company.
My schedule is quite flexible ATM because I do not know too many local people/groups yet. Almost any time outside of regular work hour works for me.

Very cool. I might have to show up a bit later than 5pm but will definitely attend.

My name is Scott and I've been playing Netrunner since 96. And I'll be at The Connection on the 10th. Looking forward to some games. :)

I'll try to make it.

My name is Chris Slater.  I've lived here for about 12 years now.  I used to be more active as an organizer of gaming events around town, so I know lots of local gamers, but I haven't been as active of late.

I missed out on the first Netrunner game in the 90's so I was really stoked when I heard this was coming out (and in the Android universe to boot!).

My regular gaming store is Strategies up on Main St (and 23rd I think?) but I don't mind hopping on the Skytrain to Connections for some Netrunner.

Hope to see you guys there.

Chris

Drat, I can't make it tonight after all.  I'm behind on some work, so I gotta keep working. Next week!

Chris.

This was an awesome turnout!  I had fun playing and hanging out in a gaming environment for the first time in a long time.  I, for one, will be back on a regular basis.  It was nice to see some familiar faces in the crowd too.  Go Vancouver gamers! :)

Question for you guys who attended, when did people generally show up?  I'd like to come on a semi-regular to regular basis, but I don't want to show up at 5pm if people don't really get there till 7pm.

I was a bit late arriving, about 5:45 and things were already in full swing with about 3 or 4 games already underway. :)

I went there at about 6 and the place was packed. I can see at least 5 games going on. I overheard they are trying to get a real tournament going pretty soon.

Hopefully they'll apply for the regional tournament it when FFG opens up the application form tomorrow. Actually, I don't care who does as long as we get one!

Here's hoping that FFG announces the international regionals soon.

Unfortunately, chances are low that we'll get one in Vancouver seeing how Washington does have one...then again they only have one and there is a pretty good crowd there

Jason Woodall, Connections is my closest game store.  Been in Vancouver/BC for 6yrs currently treasurer for the Vancouver Gaming Guild (www.vancouvergamingguild.com).  If we would prefer a forum, I can set one up on our forums there.

I was out at the store last Thursday and got in a bunch of games.

I just started playing on OCTGN as well, so if anyone plays there let me know.

At connection games every Thursdays, do you guys have the play night kits that ffg distributes to retailers?

How does the setup work? Like is there an entrance fee to get potential prizes, or just a gathering of people to play together?
