Hi,

We are thrilled to announce the launch of our new open data portal, opendata.vancouver.ca! It is now easier than ever for you to access, search and explore the content of our 160+ public datasets.

The new portal provides a modern, mobile-friendly experience, and is packed with features to benefit both casual and expert users of open data. For example, you can preview data with tables that allow easy sorting and filtering, or visualize datasets with interactive maps and charts, all without leaving your browser window. If you are a programmer, you can now search and download data using an API (application programming interface).

Check out the portal news page or the help page for more details on the new features and what's different from the old catalogue:

While you can do much more within the portal, you can also still download the data to use on your computer. Standard datasets are available in CSV, JSON and Excel formats while geospatial datasets can be downloaded in GeoJSON, Shape and KML formats. If the datasets previously had a DWG format option that has been maintained as well, as an "alternative export".

Visit https://opendata.vancouver.ca to check out the new portal!

Note: The legacy open data catalogue will remain available until the fall (exact date to be announced):

Your use of the data available from the Open Data program is governed by the Open Government Licence - Vancouver. By using the data, you are agreeing to be bound by this licence.
