Posting Green Spaces - existing/available on sites

One of the ideas suggested at our Visioning/Goal Setting session last
Monday was to post locations where community gardens could be created
on City of Vancouver property.

There is an idea being circulated through the Guerilla Gardening
Meetup Group about doing a similar idea (except bigger I think). Here
is their posting for your viewing. We may want to collaborate/work
together instead of duplicating/replicating. What do you think? If

I spoke with the gentleman who does the food policy e-newsletter and
he explained where I could find the partial inventory that was done

If you go to the end of the document, to appendix D, you will find a
list of places.

With regard to the more extensive inventory that was done he was not
sure how/if accessible this was. Andrew is also one of the co-
founders of the VPSN and he mentioned that they too are wanting to map
potential community garden sites. There are people with the VPSN who
have done mapping before so if we were able to do the footwork, VPSN
could do the more technical side of it. And with the GG meetup
wanting to do this as well it could be a three group collaborative.
Andrew gave me the name of someone at VPSN to contact about it, so if
it is something that VUAN would be interested in doing i will contact
her. Just let me know what you all think.
