Hi Bill,

Here are two resolutions adopted by councils in support of Urban Agriculture.  Having something like this can also open the door to more comprehensive work in the way of a more specific policy (community gardens policy) , accessing land etc.

Exciting work in Invermere!

Hi Maxine,

I'm also very interested in the answers you collect to your question.  Could you kindly include me in the loop of answers you receive.  Here in Invermere the Columbia Valley Botanical Gardens and Centre for Sustainable Living operates the Heritage Garden, a school garden and soon we'll be opening the Community Greenhouse adjacent our town high school.  Policy development on all of these and future horticultural sites is of great interest to our organization and the partners we work with in these gardens.

Thanks and I'll send anything we find to you too.

Bill

Good afternoon,

My name is Maxine and I work for Just Food in Ottawa. I just called Farm Folks/City Folks about community gardens policies in B.C. and they told me that you might be the right person to talk to.  I know of the Saanich, Victoria and Vancouver community gardens policy, yet I was wondering if there were other cities across British Columbia which had adopted CG policies.  If you know anything about this, I would greatly appreciate your knowledge J

Thank you in advance.

Cordially,

Maxine Cléroux

the portland one sounded great, all those whereas thingies making the
case for community gardens with vigourous logic, building up to a
powerful and undeniable argument in favour of...an inventory?
