Duplicated efforts?

While getting involved in the Trout Lake/ Cedar Cottage garden
project, I noticed the material from VCAN and couldn't help but think
that there is a rather large overlap between VCAN and VUAN. In fact,
the titles mean essentially the same thing.
Wouldn't we be better off to pool resources with others who have
similar interests? How many more groups are out there trying to do
the same things? It's important to achieve a solidarity among as many
urban gardeners as possible if we are to speak as a representitive
voice. It's also important to utilise the talent and experience
available without "burning out" the individuals who are attracted to
leadership roles.
I realize we have talked of this before, but perhaps we could think
about it, and have a brief review at our next meeting.
