VUAN online visibility

Hi Everyone!

I'm a bit of a nightowl/ workaholic, so I decided that now was as good
a time as any to get started on your blog. For those of you who didn't
attend last night's meeting, I'm a design student at Emily Carr,
working on increasing the visibility of Urban Ag. related groups in
Vancouver. We identified a few key points where VUAN can benefit from
my work, so the current plan is this:

-create a logo for VUAN which is distinct but clearly communicates
what you do (organic theme, policy relation)

-create a blog page which everyone can post to by simply sending an
email to the address I create. this was chosen because it allows
updates to the blog to be built into existing email structure- which
means no extra work. very important:) it also means that something
will come up when VUAN or Vancouver Urban Agriculture Network is
googled. The blog is currently residing at http://www.VUAN.blogspot.com
I'll set up the email system right now:)

-maybe build a face page for VUAN on the VCAN site, as another port of
entry into the group.

Other thoughts:
-there is no VUAN facebook group. having one would be beneficial in
accessing a huge target audience of students and younger people. this
is another thing that is easy to maintain- but I'm wondering if any of
the members have facebook?
